GERMÁN PASCUAL released his solo album – A New Beginning – in October 2012, guest musicians include Martin Hall (Forged Wings) and Carl-Johan “CJ” Grimmark (Narnia, Fires Of Babylon, Rob Rock) and bassists Per Schelander (Pain of Salvation, Ex-Royal Hunt) and Raphael Dafras (Almah, Seven Horizons)
German Pascual was born in Uruguay, spent his childhood in Brazil, and has lived in Stockholm, Sweden, since his early teens. GERMÁN was named as “the best metal voice 2009” by “The Gates of Metal”.
Starting music as a drummer in a thrash band at 15, he was invited to join the band rehearsing next door as a vocalist when they overheard him screaming through the walls … the band next door was Minds Eye …
In 2008 Narnia needed a singer, and through a friend German made contact with Narnia guitarist C.J Grimmark. The album “Course of a Generation” by Narnia was launched in late 2009. Feeling blessed to have found this great band and being part of Narnia, German was stunned when the band decided to end all activity a year and two farewell gigs later.
German then recorded an album with Divinefire as Co-Vocalist of former Narnia singer Christian Liljegren and recorded some guest vocals on the Golden Resurrection album Glory To My King and on the metal opera project Soulspell album The Labyrinth Of Truths (both released 2010). Officially German is still considered a band member of Divinefire I guess.
German Pascual is also known for his work with the less fortunate, homeless and drug addicts and others in Stockholm’s Stadsmission.

Wardrum is a Greece power metal band founded in 2010. Drummer Stergios Kourou started it together with guitarist Kosta Vreto and bassist Kostas Scandalis to play some old school metal. Later, vocalist Piero Leporale from Italy joined in. Straight away they started the preproduction of 10 songs and entered the studio. The debut album “Spadework” was produced by Kostas Scandalis and released by Steel Gallery Records on the 20th of April 2011.
Their music is heavy metal with power and prog thrown in, melodic and heavy, influences of Judas Priest, Dio, Sanctuary and Conception can be heard. Spadework was a good start, the band was directly rated as one of the most promising Greek bands and opened for Crimson Glory in Thessaloniki in October 2011. This was the first show and the starting point of the “Spadework Greek Tour”.
Three months later the band had to part with Piero Leporale and tried to find a local singer – Yannis Papadopoulos took over the band’s frontman position and they entered the recording studio for their second album, “Desolation” released on the 25th of April 2012, almost exactly one year after the their debut release.
The album was produced again by Kostas Scandalis and released by Steel Gallery Records.

ReinXeed is a symphonic/power metal band from Boden, Sweden. They were formed in 2004 by vocalist Tommy Johansson. They are influenced by soundtrack movies such as Lord of the Rings and bands like Helloween and Rhapsody of Fire.
In 2007 Christian Liljegren, former singer / founder of Narnia and owner of Liljegren Records / Doolittle Group, recieved a demo from Tommy. He instantly heard the talent and signed ReinXeed to the label.
In 2008, ReinXeed released their first studio album The Light on Rivel Records. This helped ReinXeed land an appearance in Japan where they gained fans. The Light can best be described as melodic power metal with the occasional symphonic tendency and some more progressive based pieces
In 2009 the second album Higher was released. It is even more symphonic with the rhythm guitar sometimes lost in the mix, as some reviewers criticized. It is beautiful and lacks a little in power.
Majestic was been released worldwide in 2010. It’s the third album of this power metal band.
1912 is their fourth album, released 2011. It is a concept album about the Titanic and its sinking. The Japanese edition includes three bonus track: “ReinXeed Alliance”, “Aces High” (an Iron Maiden cover) and “Pray for Japan”, a song done to support Japan in the aftermath of the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
Welcome to the Theater , ReinXeed’s latest album was released in May 2012. The entire album is inspired by famous movies, both music and lyrics.
They played ProgPower Oslo Festival this year and are going to play ProgPower USA and Rock Out Wild Festival in Sweden in 2013.

Wisdom is a Hungarian power metal band from Budapest. Their band name is taken from a 1986 movie where Emilio Estevez played a guy called John Wisdom. Formed in the fall of 2001, the group is known for basing each song on a well-known quotation. Many of the band’s lyrics and all of the album covers center round an old man, the fictional ‘Wiseman’.
After about a year they started making a name for themselves with a 3-track demo recorded at home and the band Kalapacs decided to take them out on tour. With the help of an event organizer who saw them there the band managed to get booked as opener for Iron Maiden in front of 15 000 people.
Meanwhile the concept of Wisdom was starting to take shape. They wanted to build up a narrative world around the name, Wisdom, from the beginning based on examples of Iron Maiden’s Eddie or Megadeth’s Vic. Next the chief editor of the largest motorbike magazine entitled Born To Be Wild selected the band for a long term cooperation. In due course the band supported Saxon, the UDO-Doro Tour, Europe, Helloween, Judas Priest and Startovarius.
In July 2004 the 4-track self-titled EP was released, not in the traditional way but as an attachment to the Hungarian Metal Hammer. In 2006 the album Words of Wisdom was released by Hammer Records, and soon after licenced by a Japanese label, making Wisdom the first Hungarian band to release an album in Asia. Wisdom toured in support of the release but went on hiatus in 2008, to sort out line-up changes.
In 2010 a new vocalist was found and recordings started. In order to promote this new album, Wisdom went on tour in Fall 2010 where the new vocalist hid behind a mask at all gigs. The “mask” tour and a new video release brought about huge interest for the album Judas that was released in April 2011. Mats Levén (Therion, Malmsteen, At Vance) performes one track as a guest vocalist.
From September to November 2012 Wisdom were touring with Sabaton and Eluveitie taking them through a great part of Europe.

Kerion is a Symphonic Metal band from France.
They began as an instrumental Prog Metal band in 1997 under the name of “Kirlian”. Flora soon joined them on vocals and the band’s sound evolved into meldoic symphonic metal. They released two demos based on the fantasy tale “Staraxis” by Chris Barberi and then their first album in 2008 – “Holy Creatures Quest” covering the third and final part of Barberi’s novel musically.
As newer fans asked to hear old demos, the band decided to rewrite some of the songs and have a real studio recording, as they were not happy with the quality of the demos. Their second album “The Origins”, as its name indicates, is the result of this musical revival. Kerion work with Phil Giordana from Fairyland, who added vocals to their latest album and conducted the choir recordings. This new album, just released two months ago, is also a conceptual album, you can read the story on the band homepage. I only listened to the CD and gathered it must be dealing with ships and sailors of old, some of the songs have a flair of sea-shanty, vikings and drunken sailor to them, that I particularly like in this case. Floras vocals are strong yet never too dominant, not operatic, not harsh. I usually dislike female vocals on metal but here they work perfectly, also overlaid by choirs quite often adding fullness.
A really good album that I can recommend to anyone who likes symphonic power.
